How can I run cell growth assays on my absorbance microplate reader?
Light scattering in the 600-660 nm range can be used to evaluate and monitor cell density. A temperature control system is required. Shaking is used to keep the cells in suspension. BioTek's readers are designed to support long kinetic runs (24, 48 hours or more) with continuous read and shake cycles.
