What advantages does the Bio-Cell™ offer?
If the temperature of the lab varies by more than a few degrees, using the 1 cm Bio-Cell cuvette for pathlength correction instead of the imbedded value adjusts for temperature variations.
For nonaqueous solutions, the Bio-Cell can provide a 1 cm reference value for pathlength correction. However, the user should be careful that the peak wavelength for the nonaqueous buffer solution does not overlap with the peak wavelength of the analyte.
